Become a contract doula

We are always seeking doulas who can serve the unique needs of our community. Learn more about how you can be involved today!

The Doula Access Initiative is committed to increasing access to doula care for all families! As an organization we provide the funding for the for eligible participants to pay for the valuable support of a participating contract doula.

We recognize the tremendous value of and diversity within the range of individualized, comprehensive, skilled and non judgemental care doulas provide. A client’s right to autonomy extends to all decisions about their body and their birth, including the ability to select the doula of their choosing from a variety of options. Our goal is to support our clients and participating contract doulas on their terms.

Are you a doula who wishes to serve as a contact doula?

Join the board

Structural racism and poor access to culturally congruent health care and support has a profound impact on our community, especially birthing families. Join our board so we can work together to remove barriers to healthy reproductive outcomes.

The Board of Directors for the Doula Access Fund serves to support the mission and the goals of our organization. We welcome the support of our community to support the diverse needs of under-resourced families in Tompkins County and Cortland County.

DAI is committed to continued rigorous efforts to expand opportunities and our capacity to better engage in the Birth Justice and Reproductive Justice Movements.

Support our Winter Auction

DAI hosts a Winter Auction as our end of the year fundraiser. We’d be honored if you would consider donating an item (which could be a gift card!). As a collaborator in this auction, all your donations will be eligible for tax write-offs as in-kind donations to our 501c3 nonprofit organization. This means that you will be donating a good or a service to DAI for us to auction off for the community.

We also welcome sponsors for this special event! Email us at info@ithacadoulaaccess.com if you’d like to discuss sponsorship.
